Looking for English Counseling?

Do any of these apply to you?

You may have landed on my website because you have been searching for a professional capable of offering English counseling in Japan in order to get help resolving your concerns.

Am I correct?

It’s actually quite common for expats in Japan to face difficulties, especially related to cultural differences, and such difficulties can be exacerbated by language barriers, lack of understanding from others around you (and possibly on your end too), as well as lack of a support system. This can create a great sense of isolation.

Negative feelings

And how about these thoughts?

  • I regret moving to Japan.
  • No one understands me, mainly because I don’t speak Japanese (and they don’t speak English).
  • I feel ignored or neglected and therefore extremely lonely because no one wants to communicate with me (again, with language barriers) – who cares about me anyway?
  • I’m afraid that I’m not acting “culturally appropriate” even though I’ve been trying really hard to “fit in”.
  • I don’t know what I’m going to do after my stay in Japan. I’m worried about my future.
  • I would like to continue receiving counseling/therapy like I used to back home.
  • I have pre-existing mental health concerns, and it feels like they have gotten worse after moving to Japan. I need help.

If any of these apply to you, please rest assured because I’m here to help you.

The next step

You’ve already taken the first step toward getting your concerns resolved by looking for help online, so the next step is to contact me.

I know this step could be a challenge for many people.

That’s why I provide a 15-minute pre-counseling session which is free of charge so that you get to know me before making your first “real” appointment.

And even if it seems that I cannot provide the exact support you’re looking for, I’ll guide you through getting the help you need.
